Who is Fouquet’s for?

A palace on the corner of the Champs-Élysées: a heated 15-metre pool included for guests, two suites with Eiffel Tower views, its 1899 brasserie and no starred restaurant.

On Avenue George V, at the corner of the Champs-Élysées, the Hôtel Fouquet’s Paris has 101 rooms and suites, according to the hotel and the MICHELIN Guide, and is on Atout France’s Palace list. Its brasserie, opened in 1899, is at 99 avenue des Champs-Élysées; the hotel’s website does not give the year the hotel itself opened. Its 750 m² spa has a heated 15-metre pool, included in the stay for hotel guests.

Fact check-in

The hotel says
Access to facilities such as the pool, sauna, hammam, and ice room is reserved for guests receiving treatments of at least 60 minutes.
We verified
The same site includes the pool in every stay: its home-page FAQ lists “Complimentary access to the 15-meter heated indoor pool” among what is included, and its stay offers list the pool among the complimentary spa facilities. The same spa FAQ gives “Members and resident guests” “privileged access to the facilities”, and still names the former “Decorté” spa. We deduce that the rule applies to visitors without a stay; for them, the only priced package that explicitly includes the facilities is the “Lunch and Wellness Break” at €320 per person, treatment and lunch included.
Verdict
To clarify: as we read it, the rule applies to visitors without a stay; hotel guests have the pool included

The pool and spa at Fouquet’s

A heated 15-metre pool, included for guests; for others, the FAQ asks for a treatment of at least 60 minutes.

The spa covers 750 m²: a heated 15-metre indoor pool, an aquatic circuit, a sauna, a hammam, an ice room and a 50 m² Technogym fitness room with direct access to the pool. Treatments are by Biologique Recherche.

The pool is included for hotel guests, from 6am to 10pm, by reservation according to the fitness page. The spa FAQ reserves the facilities for people booking a treatment of at least 60 minutes, with no exception written for hotel guests, whom the other pages include: we deduce that the rule applies to visitors. Treatment prices are not published; the only priced package that explicitly includes the facilities, the “Lunch and Wellness Break”, costs €320 per person, with a 60-minute treatment and lunch at the brasserie. The page also gives hours for “members”, without publishing membership terms.
