Who is Molitor for?

A hotel of 124 rooms and suites in the rebuilt 1929 swimming baths: a 46-metre heated outdoor pool, a 33-metre indoor pool, and a spa that sells a package with a treatment and a swim.

At Porte Molitor, in the 16th arrondissement, a hundred metres from Roland-Garros, Molitor occupies the swimming baths designed by the architect Lucien Pollet and opened in 1929, closed in 1989 and listed as a historic monument. Rebuilt from 2011, they reopened on 19 May 2014 as a hotel of 124 rooms and suites, rated five stars by Atout France on 19 July 2024. Only the entrance rotunda was kept; the indoor pool faithfully reproduces the 1929 one, according to the hotel.

  • you only want to swim, without a treatmentNo day pass without a treatment is published; that leaves a membership of the Club Molitor, the hotel’s sports club, whose prices are not published.

Rooms and suites at Molitor

Eight categories from 22 to 60 m² on the hotel’s website, two family rooms on Accor’s; a view of the pool alone for four categories out of eight.

The hotel’s website describes eight categories: five room categories, from 22 to 35 m², for two or three guests, and three suite categories, from 50 to 60 m², for up to four. Accor’s booking site (Molitor is part of Accor’s MGallery collection) also sells two family rooms made of two connecting rooms: 44 m² for four and 52 m² for six. Our table lists all ten.

Each category states its view: the outdoor pool alone for four, Paris or the pool for two, Paris for the Executive Room with Terrace and La Grande Suite. On two points Accor differs from the hotel’s website: five guests instead of four in the Pool Suites, 30 m² for three instead of 35 m² for two in the Executive Room with Terrace; the table follows the hotel’s website and gives Accor’s figure in a note.

The pools and spa at Molitor

A 46-metre heated outdoor pool and a 33-metre indoor pool for guests; without a stay, a package with a treatment.

According to the hotel’s page on Accor’s website, guests may use both pools from arrival, at 4pm, until departure, at noon; the rooms page guarantees them “at least one pool throughout the year”. The indoor pool is heated to 28 °C. The Club Molitor’s page calls the outdoor pool “the outdoor summer pool”, while Accor’s page says both pools are heated all year: whether the outdoor pool opens in winter is not established. No depth and no opening hours are published.

Without a stay, the “Evasion Molitor” package combines a one-hour treatment with access to the facilities and the pool, plus a robe, towel and locker, from €350 per person. The hotel sells it as a spa day without mentioning non-residents: that it is open to visitors is our reading. The English version of the offer gives “Access to indoor and outdoor pools”, the French version the indoor pool only (« bassin intérieur »). Without a treatment, that leaves a membership of the Club Molitor, the hotel’s sports club, which gives access to both pools; its prices are not published. No day pass without a treatment is published on the current offers page. The Spa by Clarins has thirteen treatment rooms, two of them duo rooms, a 50 m² private spa suite with its own sauna, and a hammam; its hours are not published, and its floor area varies from page to page, from 1,300 to 1,700 m².
